How many years have you been a member of AGA? I’ve been a member of Montgomery AGA since 2001 or 2002. During the last semester of my senior year at “THE Alabama State University”, I was awarded a much needed AGA scholarship. I was so appreciative that I made it a career goal to become a member & give back, as soon as possible!

Current employer and position? Employer: Alabama Medicaid Agency Position: Associate Director of Provider Audit/Nursing Home Audit

Tell us three things most people don’t know about you: In spite of my manicured nails & love for “girly” accessories, I’m a life-long tomboy. I’d choose ripped jeans & sneakers over a dress, ANY day! I enjoy riding motorcycles. I currently ride a Suzuki GSXR-600. That’s a “street bike”, not a “cruiser”! Once you get over the “safety” fear, riding is actually extremely therapeutic. Before and after becoming a mother, I enjoyed playing softball for years. When my daughter was old enough to play, I stopped playing & began coaching her little league teams. She “retired” just before starting high school. However, I’m contemplating coming out of “softball retirement” and playing on a co-ed team! Just keep the Bengay on deck!!

What tv show/movie are you ashamed to admit you love? My favorite tv show is Showtime’s “Shameless”. Every episode is more unbelievable than the last, but it’s definitely NOT A KID-FRIENDY SHOW!! If you’ve never watched it, it’s a binge-worthy MUST SEE!!

If you had a warning label, what would yours say? Unfortunately, I do have a “disclaimer” of sorts. It’s “Don’t let the glasses & suit fool you!” Some people perceive me as “uptight” or extremely “straight laced”. Yes, I am a rule follower by nature. However, everyone has layers. When it’s time to be a professional, I’m all about business. But, I do have a sense of humor, & I enjoy “letting my hair down”. Just ask anyone who has taken the time to REALLY get to know me!

What three items would you take with you on a deserted island? My motorcycle (OF COURSE!),a stack of good books, and an ample supply of Tacky Jacks’ Bushwhackers

What is your favorite thing to do in the River Region? I enjoy visiting different restaurants with friends & family.

What’s something you want to do in the next year that you’ve never done before? I’d like to take a LONG distance motorcycle ride to Florida, Georgia, or even Texas!

Seen anything lately that made you smile? I saw my daughter lounging in her new fully decorated dorm room at Jacksonville State University. She was excited, and I was too! #EMPTYNEST!!!!
